First year Judy Woo has secured a major win at the third leg of the 2024/25 R&A Student Tour Series in La Sella, Spain. Competing as a part of the First Scholars Women’s Golf squad, Woo traveled with 10 of her fellow St Andrews golfers to Spain for the three-day tournament.
Woo opened with a 75 before producing consecutive level par 72s to record a three-over-par 219 winning total, only one stroke better than fellow teammate Lucy Jamieson, a three-time STS winner.

Having already won at STS Sweden in Halmstad to kick off the Series, Woo has not only secured first place in the tournament but has also been propelled to the top of the Order of Merit standings, putting her in a prime position heading into the next series event in Portugal.
Having played golf for nine years, Judy had her sights set on winning and made her
determination clear to those around her. She repeatedly told her teammates she was going to win and stayed true to her word.
This triumph was significant for Woo, as strong performances in the series could lead to a selection for the prestigious Arnold Palmer Cup International Team. Reflecting on the experience, she described it as not only 'really good fun' but as a giant confidence booster in her golfing journey.
If Woo continues to be successful in the next leg of the R&A Student Tour Series, she will make it to the final right here in St Andrews on March 31st.
